For Immediate Release – Schenectady, New York May 01, 2023 – EndoSoft® is excited to introduce the revolutionary Artificial Intelligence software, Argus, at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) May 7th-9th. Argus is an AI-driven platform that streamlines the physicians’ workflow and helps to improve patient outcomes by assisting to detect and size polyps with greater accuracy and efficiency. EndoSoft is introducing its latest advancement, Natural Language Processing (NLP). NLP allows Argus to see, hear, and document what physicians see and say during a procedure in real-time.
Using computer-aided polyp detection (CADe), computer-aided polyp sizing (CAPs), and Machine Learning (ML), Argus uses the feed from the video processor to assist with identifying polyps during colonoscopy procedures. EndoSoft has received a US Patent on its Polyp Detection and Sizing modules. Physicians use Argus to automatically determine the size of a lesion in vivo and capture the images so they can be included in the procedure report if desired.
Being demonstrated for the first time at DDW, EndoSoft is debuting Natural Language Processing (NLP). NLP is for documenting procedures in real-time using voice-activated functions, to label images, document the procedure report, and automatically record quality metrics. Argus continues to streamline the documentation process by using AI-Based Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) to document the tissue submitted and print the pathology jar labels. All of this is done during the procedure in real-time.
